MURDERS
15/06/ 2006
ROMA. Sergio Tosio Aru, a 39-year old gay actor of
Sardinian orgin, is found strangled by an electric cord.
30/05/2006
ROMA - OSTIA. An elderly gay man of 72 is found murdered in
his hotel room.
01/08/2006
TRENTO. A Venezuelan transsexual is stabbed five times in
her home.
24/10/2006
MILANO. A transsexual is killed by repeated stabbings to
the face. The body is found in the street.
28/11/2006
NOVARA. A 30-year old transsexual is found in her
appartment with her throat cut.
07/03/2007
ROMA. A man is killed in the appartment where he had lived
for 25 years with his partner.
21/04/2007
PESCARA. A 37-year old transsexual is killed in her home,
apparently from blows to the head. The victim had changed
her name from Marco to Emanuela Di Cesare.
VIOLENCE

ROMA. A group of 8 people (presumably belonging to an
affiliation of the extreme right) attack gay men and
lesbians with chains and crossbars at the entrance to the
dance club ‘Muccassassina’.

TORRE DEL LAGO (Lucca). Violence on a Sunday night
outside a gay bar. Three young men shout insults, then
physically attack the cook and other employees of the bar.

MILANO. A transsexual, Gabriella, is raped, beaten and left
for dead on the street.

TORRE DEL LAGO. A lesbian is raped by a group of right-wing
militants.

BOLOGNA. Three gay men are beaten up leaving an event
organized by the Arcigay movement.

PESARO. A young gay man is beaten up by three uncles, who
refuse to accept the shame of an openly homosexual member
of the family.

PIACENZA. A man lures gay men by placing erotic
advertisements in a local paper. When they show up for a
‘date’, he smashes their cars with a baseball bat, then
bounds and beats them.

BARI. Two gay boys are beaten up in front of a gay
bar.

BOLOGNA. A transsexual is beaten up and stabbed in front of
her home.

BRESCIA. A gay man is badly beaten by a group of men, close

CAGLIARI.
A young gay man is bullied by schoolmates and attempts
suicide.

TORRE DEL LAGO. A gay couple caught kissing in public, is
set upon and beaten by three people.

The President of the Province of Milan, Paolo Ferigo, is
attacked and beaten up in a local restaurant. Aside from
those dining with him, neither the other guests nor the
restaurant owner intervene to help him. The police arrive
on the scene only 40 minutes after the attack began.

activists of the extreme right, because he is believed to
